Donald E. Rosenberger Sr., died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 in St. Petersburg, FL. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Don has been a resident of Florida since 1955. He is of the Catholic faith.

Don is predeceased by his parents, Margaret Helfrich Rosenberger and Paul F. Rosenberger and his sisters, Jeanette Dellaria and Dorothy Bennett and his brother Paul F. Rosenberger Jr. Don graduated from North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. Don is a U.S. Army veteran having served with the 328 Comm/Recon Unit in the Korean War. Don graduated from St. Petersburg College in 1961.

Don graduated with the Charter Class of University of South Florida, Tampa in 1963 with A B.A. in Elementary Education and received his M.S. from the University of South Florida, Tampa in 1967 where he was an Academic Advisor. Don taught in the Pinellas County School system from 1963-1990, first at Pasadena Elementary School; then as principal of Sunshine Elementary School at Pass-A-Grille from 1967-1968; taught at Tyrone Elementary School twice and Bauder Elementary School; was Supervisor of Elementary Career Education and retired as a teacher at the Juvenile Detention Center. From 1990 to May, 200 he worked at Family Res, Inc. St. Petersburg, FL in the Fiscal Department.

Don will be greatly missed by his wife, of 59 years, Patricia McCarthy Rosenberger, St. Petersburg; sons Donald E. Rosenberger Jr. and Joseph T. Rosenberger. Don is survived by his 5 loving greandchildren and his 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Barbara Erichsen and Margaret Bauer of St. Petersburg.

Don is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Don had a passionate love for his family. He loved spending time with his 2 sons, always with his loving support and encouragement.

He loved being with his grandchildren and supported them in every endeavor with an encouraging word, a pat on the back and lots of big hugs. Don will be greatly missed by his wife, Patricia. Pat will miss his quiet love, and his support.

She will remember him always and knows that he will be guiding her from above. The Rosenberger family would like to thank the Hospice-Empath, Silver Team, for their excellent and loving care of theif beloved husband and father. A big thank you also to all the nurses and doctors at Northside Hospital and the Aides and Nurses from Executive Care who took such loving, special care of our beloved husband and father.
