OBITUARY Donald Eugene Ahr September 6, 1941 – October 1, 2018 Donald Eugene Ahr, 77, passed away on October 1, 2018. He was born in Decatur, IN on September 6, 1941, the son of the late Frederick and Marie Ahr. Don married Mary Lou Ahr on December 24, 1982.

He was a charter member along with his wife of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Huntertown, IN. Don used to enjoy bowling, golfing and model railroading, and currently model ship building. He worked as a meat cutter at Hilgers Farm Market and Es as a security supervisor, and was most recently employed at Krogers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Ahr; son, Wayne F. Ahr; step-grandson, Thomas James Hunt; foster daughter, Becky VanGalder; and foster granddaughter, Tara Lombard. Don was preceded in death by his step-son, Scott L. Hunt, three brothers, and one sister. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave.

, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2018 also at the funeral home.
