Donald J. Gresbach, Jr., 80, of Catawba Island, passed away, Tuesday, October 30. 2018 at his home. Don was born on September 18, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Leone (Burczyk) and Donald J. Gresbach, Sr. On September 27, 1958, he married Louise Herriges and she survives.

Don started his career as a mechanic and owned and operated his own gas station in Milwaukee, WI. He then worked for Avis and transferred to Indianapolis and then to Cleveland, OH. Don worked for Custom Clutch for… Read More » almost 30 years, running the hydraulic and drive line division.

He retired in 2000 and shortly there after moved to their home in Catawba. Don was a very active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was the facility manager.

Don will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Loving Wife: Louise Gresbach; Children: Cheryl (Brian) Menoni, Paul Gresbach, James (Tammy Snyder) Gresbach and Julie Gresbach; Grandchildren: Ben, Andrew & Frank Menoni, Michael Gresbach, Amanda (Brandon) Lassiter, Andrea (Michael Brelo) Gresbach and Nicholas & Phillip Gresbach; Great-Grandchildren: Colin & Keira Brelo; Sisters: Kathryn DuVergy & Jane (_____) Neimer. Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8pm, Sunday, November 04, 2018 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Family prayers at 9:30am, Monday, November 05, 2018, in the funeral home, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, conducted by Father John Missler. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Knights of Columbus.
