Donald James Bean, 88, passed away on March 17, 2019. Mr. Bean was born January 21, 1931 in Newark, New Jersey, a son of the late William James and Marie Barbara Hollenbach Bean. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean War.

Mr. Bean was a long time worshipper at Langston Baptist Church in Conway. He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah J. Bean. Surviving are: his wife Janet Bean of Conway, three daughters; Donna J. Frahm of Germantown, MD, Doriann J. Standhope (Raymond) of Galloway, NJ and Dawn J. Brady (Jeffrey) of Irwin, PA, nine grandchildren: Erika Frahm, Brendan Frahm, Jason Standhope, Julee Tansey (John), Jeffrey Standhope, Connor Brady, Jack Brady, Erin Brady and Ryan Brady, four great grandchildren: Jason Standhope Jr., Leighann Standhope, Chase Tansey and Carson Tansey.

Visitation will be held 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 21, 2019 and Friday, March 22, 2019 from 9:00am to 10:00am at “The Family Owned” Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St. Toms River, NJ 08753. Services will be held at 10am at the funeral home with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, New Jersey.
