Donald’s Obituary Donald Mullens passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the age of 71. Donald was born October 8, 1947 to Harold Mullens and Katherine (Green) Mullens in Durant, Oklahoma. He later married the love of his life Helen (Cooper) Mullens on December 13, 1966 in Durant, Oklahoma.

He was a graduate of Durant High School. After graduation he left to serve our country in the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam. Once he returned, he attended Southeastern University.

He also worked as a machinist at Reed Drill in Texas for many years. He was a resident of Durant for over 60 years. He enjoyed working outdoors, planting flowers, and working in his garden in the summer time.

He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren any chance he could. Donald is survived by his wife Helen Mullens of the home. Daughters: Stacie Kennedy and husband Earl Kennedy of Mead, Oklahoma, Stephanie Fleming of Mead, Oklahoma.

Grandsons: Brandon Mullens of Mead, Oklahoma, and Colton Fleming of Mead, Oklahoma. Granddaughter, Ella Kennedy of Mead, Oklahoma. Great-Granddaughters: Paisley Mullens of Burneyville, Oklahoma, and Raena Mullens of Burneyville, Oklahoma.

Brother, Harold Mullens of Sherwood Shores, Texas. Sister-in-Laws: Oleta Jackson of Durant, Oklahoma and Glenda Holland of Mead, Oklahoma. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Mullens and Katherine Mullens. Granddaughter McKenzie Kennedy. Sister, Sue Miller.

Son-in-law Richard Fleming. And Sister-in-laws: Betty Mullens and Linda Kay Cooper. Family hour for Donald Mullens is 7-8:00pm Friday, January 25, 2019 at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.

Services will be held at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma at 10:00am Saturday, January 26, 2019 to honor Donald’s life, with Brother Jesse West officiating. Following will be burial at Mead Cemetery in Mead, Oklahoma with Brandon Mullens, Paul Simmons, Kim Parker, Layne Billings, Monty Montgomery, Austin Springer, and Karl Mullens serving as pallbearers, along with Colton Fleming, Earl Kennedy and Harold Mullens serving as honorary pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
