Donald Russell Lamb, 72, of Van Wert, Ohio died at 8:33 PM on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born March 20, 1936 in Van Wert to the late James Russell Lamb and Dorothy Millie (Brown) Lamb-Stetler. On August 30, 1977 he married Alix Andrea Cline and she survives of Van Wert.

Donald is also survived by children, Ricky Jay (Karla) Lamb, Brenda Sue Taylor, and Susan (Ralph) Mell, all of Van Wert, Dorothy (Brian) Bauer, and Michelle Hire, both of Cecil, Ohio; sisters, Peggy (J.D.) Morefield of Georgia and Karen (Ron) Parsons of Florida; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Lamb retired as a crew leader from West Ohio Gas Company after 27 years of service. He is a United States Marine Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion.

In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and camping. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Van Wert American Legion. Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home is assisting the family.
