F. Donald Sharp, 96, of Enumclaw passed away April 28, 2018. He was born January 10, 1922 to Lewis and Frances Sharp in the small town of Gem, Kansas. Don heard the call of his country and served with the United States Army during WWII.

Mutual friends introduced Don to his wife of 69 ½ years, Doris Buckley, in 1943 in Washington DC, where she worked. After returning from Europe and the war Don and Doris were married in 1946 in Buckley, WA. Don went on to become an electrician, a career in much demand as the city of Enumclaw grew.

He became a proud member of Local 46 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Don and Doris were long time members of Calvary Presbyterian church in Enumclaw. In his spare time Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and anything outdoors.

He even walked a mile every day until a year ago. He was Boy Scout Master of troop 422 of Enumclaw and also of VFW post 1949. He loved to travel and spent time with his wife in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Don is survived by his sons Del (Christie) Sharp of Rio Rancho, NM, Joe Sharp of Snohomish and Richard (Kellie) of Seattle; daughter Gloria Sharp Schmidt of Bonney Lake; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris; his parents; brother Dale; and sister Bonita.
