Obituary for Donald W. “Don” Hastings Sr. Donald W. “Don” Hastings Sr. was born August 2, 1932 in Council Grove, Kansas. He moved with his family in 1943 to Wenatchee. Don graduated in 1950 from Wenatchee High School.

He entered the Air Force in January 1951. He was stationed in Greenland for 14 months. Upon his return to the states he was stationed at Westover AFB where he met Barbara Rosendale and they were married on November 7th 1953 in Chicopee, Mass.

After his discharge, they moved to Wenatchee, where Don managed Karls Shoe store, and many others. Both Don and Barbara were members of Area Lions clubs where they served many offices including President. They have been members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church for many years.

Don served on the vestry and was an usher. Don was preceded in death by his parents Vertner and Mamie Hastings, beloved wife Barbara Hastings, his brothers Ray, Kenneth, Lloyd, and Virgil Hastings. He is survived by his Sister Alice Rice, Children- Wayne (Kathy) Hastings, Jennifer Brady (Ron), Glen Hastings (Kristin) and Linda Sanchez (Raul), 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church; 428 King Street, Wenatchee at 1:00 p.m. Concluding Services and Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by Chapel of the Valley, Wenatchee.
