Obituary for Donald W. Gummo Sr. Donald W. Gummo, Sr., 92, Antis Township died early Friday morning February 15, 2019 at his home. He was born July 18, 1926 in Bellwood, son of the late Lingle T. and Amelda (Estep) Gummo. On March 31, 1948, he married Barbara J. Troxell in Altoona.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald W. Jr. (Wanda) of Tipton; a daughter, Terri J. (Alan) Davinsizer of Tipton; three grandchildren, Stefanie (Kevin) Cavallo of Hastings, Jennifer Davinsizer of Pittsburgh and Christopher (Melissa) Gummo of Elgin, Arizona; six great-grandchildren, Karley Cavallo, Evan Snyder, Kaylyn Snyder, Victoria Cavallo, and Brooke and Charlotte Gummo; nieces and nephews; and a sister in law, Elva Gummo of Punta Gorda, Fla. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul William; a brother, Barney; and three sisters, Dorothy Welch, Shirley Chiofar and Helen Robinson. Donald was a US Army veteran having served during World War II.

He retired as an over- the- road truck driver for Ward Trucking, Altoona. He was a member of Logan’s Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood and a member of Ward Retiree Club. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb.

18, 2019 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 at the funeral home, Pastor Tim Flanagan officiating.

Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
