Obituary for Donisio “Don” Carrasco Donisio “Don” Carrasco of Poteet, Texas was born on December 6, 1960 and passed away on December 29, 2018 at the age of 58. Don was the 5th of the 6 children born to Abelino “Chore” and Nicolasa Carrasco. Don graduated Poteet High School and was in the top 10 in his class.

After graduating, he went to trade school and worked for the City of San Antonio, later he went on to work in construction. Don was meticulous regarding construction and reading construction plans and eventually became a Superintendent. He managed projects to build and renovate government buildings such as post offices and the IRS building in Austin; during his construction career he traveled throughout Texas.

Over the years he also helped many family members and friends with home renovations and construction work. Don was an old soul who loved and embraced Native American Culture, he enjoyed fishing, watching old western shows but most importantly he loved his family. He lived his life with simplicity and love.

Don is survived by his mother Nicolasa, his brothers Robert and Charlie, his sisters Pauline and Osanna, numerous nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and nieces. Don is proceeded in death by his father Abelino Carrasco, his sister Angelita Carrasco Sanchez, and great nephew Paul. Services for Don will be held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 274 Avenue H, Poteet, TX 78065.
