Donna Borda , March 11, 1940 — May 03, 2019

CANFIELD Donna Borda, age 79, of Canfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Friday morning, May 3rd, surrounded by her loving husband Robert Borda and her four daughters Rhonda, Beth, Darla and Dana. Donna Mae Borda (Bongiornio), born in Erie, PA in 1940, grew up with her only sibling David Bongiorno (deceased) and loving parents, Mary and Salvatore Bongiorno (also deceased). Donna and Bob married in 1959 and lived in Boardman, Ohio for more than thirty years where they raised their four daughters.

Donna passed away four weeks shy of their 60th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Borda, a homemaker, was a Sunday School teacher and involved in Bible studies and in woman’s ministries with Dorcas Fellowship and Youngstown Chapter of Woman’s Aglo. She was employed by her husband as a secretary for his residential construction business.

Donna was encouraging and inspiring to all who knew her; and to her family and friends she was a beloved prayer warrior and a legendary woman of God. Since retiring, the Bordas divided their time between homes in Canfield, Ohio and Belleair, Florida, where they attended Christian Assembly and First Assembly of God Church, respectively. She is survived by her husband, Robert Borda and her four daughters Rhonda Rosen of Columbus, Ohio (husband, Jack) Beth Borda of North Canton, Ohio, Darla Page of Chillicothe, Ohio (husband, Kevin) and Dana Ammari of Newport Coast, California (husband, Ramzi).

In addition, she is also survived by her grandchildren Alexis (Rosen) and Matt Johnston, John Rosen, Anna (Rosen) and Lucas Jones, Paris, Grey and Pierce Ammari, and step grandchildren Hanna, Haylea and Nik Page. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman with Pastor Jerry Hunt officiating. Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home, and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. prior to the services Friday at the funeral home.
