Donna Jean “Sweetie” Byer age 87, passed away Wednesday morning January 23, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Akron, OH to the late Milton and Eva Hanes, she was retired from the Perry Local Schools and was an avid fan of the Perry Fighting Panthers Football Team. Also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Hanes and grandson, Chad Byer.

Survived by her husband of 67 years, H. Dean Byer; children, LaDonna Wise, Bret Byer and Dean Byer; grandchildren, Shawn, Jason and Justin Wise, Shawna, Ashley, Breanna and Deana Byer, Bret Byer Jr. and numerous great grandchildren; niece, Leandra Bollinger and nephew, John Hanes. Services will be Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1 pm in the funeral home. Rev.

Edd Matako will officiate. Calling hours will be one hour before services on Monday from 12 Noon to 1 pm and Sunday from 2-4 pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
