Obituary for Donna Dickson Donna Mae (Flaxbeard) Dickson, age 80, of Joplin, Mo. , passed away on Thursday September 6, 2018 at the Communities of Wildwood, following an illness. Donna was born on February 28, 1938 in Rocky Comfort, Mo.

, the daughter of the late Noble and Thelma (Killian) Flaxbeard. She received an Associate’s Degree from Springfield Business College. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Phillip’s Petroleum and Sampson Res in Tulsa, Ok.

She worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Donna is survived by one son, Kendal A. Murphy, Joplin, Mo.

; three grandchildren, Cody Murphy, Quapaw, Ok. , Miranda Murphy, Joplin, and Joey Murphy, Joplin; one great-grandson, Brantley Murphy; and a sister-in-law, Shirlene Flaxbeard, Overland Park, Ks. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Flaxbeard.

A Memorial visitation will be held from 1 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
