MADISON-Donna M. Perry, age 87, of Madison, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Heritage Monona. She was born on Oct.

3, 1931, in Madison, the daughter of Bennie and Rose (Riphahn) Thuesen. Donna graduated from Madison East High School in 1951. She married Lloyd Perry on May 21, 1955, in Madison at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Donna worked as a preschool teacher in the Madison area and later went on to work at Emerson Elementary School in food service. … Her family and faith were most important to her. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church for over 50 years and was a member of craft and chat group and prayer line.

She also taught religious education to the grade school children. Donna enjoyed traveling, doing a daily word search and crafting. She was very social and was able to have a conversation with anyone she met.

Her welcoming personality was infectious to everyone around her. Donna is survived by her husband, Lloyd; children, Linda Perry, Michael (Cathy) Perry and Mark (Peggy) Perry; grandchildren, Kelly (Spencer) Nigl and Tony Perry (Oksana Lasowsky); great-grandchild, Ariella Joy Nigl; sisters, Judy (LeRoy) Virnig and Patti Doran; sisters-in-law, Joanne Thuesen and Donna (Dale) Amacher; brother-in-law, Robert Perry; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosie Haensgen; brother, John Thuesen; two brothers-in-law, Bob Doran and Rodney Perry; and sister-in-law, Cindy Perry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave. , Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan.

15, 2019. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday.
