Donnie C. Clay, died January 24, 2019 at age 97. He was born July 10, 1921 to Kenzy and Emma Clay at Romance, Arkansas. Donnie was a World War II veteran in North Africa, Corsica, Italy, France, and Germany.

Upon returning from the war, Donnie married Hilda Phipps on August 25, 1947. Donnie loved the Lord and worked with World Bible School for twenty-three years, sending the Lord’s word all over the world. He drove for Powell Truck Line for thirty-seven years.

Donnie put in over ten thousand plus volunteer hours at Unity Health Hospital. He loved his family and was his greatest pleasure. He loved the family reunions and most of all playing dominos with his brothers.

Donnie is survived by his wife of seventy-one years; Hilda Phipps Clay, three children; Donnie Jr and Marta Clay of Edmonton, Alberta, Kathy Boyd of Searcy, and Charles and Pam Clay of Jonesboro, six grandchildren; Kara Davis of Judsonia, Kurtis Clay of Edmonton, Alberta, Kody Boyd of Searcy, Kurt Boyd of Searcy, Justin Clay of Leachville, Chase Clay of Jonesboro, nine great-grandchildren, one brother; Orbin (Betty) Clay of Little Rock, one sister; Charline (Roger) Bynum of Sherwood. Donnie was preceded by his parents Kenzy and Emma Clay, sisters; Vana Oakley and Mary Alice Kaylor, brothers; Doyne, Robert, Calvin, and Juluis Clay. The family wishes to extend it’s greatest appreciation to Hospice of Central Arkansas and specifically; Cristina Colvin, Morgan Elam, Brittany Covington, Scott Cox, Heath Owens, and Amanda Beckham.
