OBITUARY Dora “Doe Doe” Frances Schmittou Kline July 15, 1924 – December 31, 2018 Dora “Doe Doe” Frances Schmittou Kline, 94, passed away December 31, 2018 at St. Thomas West hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a devout woman of faith and a parishioner at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville. A retired buyer for Sears, Roebuck and Company, she loved to travel and spend time with her family.

She was a woman with a giving heart, whose generosity knew no limits. Mrs. Kline was a loving wife, mother, Godmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Curtis J. Kline; daughter, Sherry Frances Kline; parents, Albert M. Schmittou and Mattie Jordan Schmittou; sisters, Martha Adams, Ella Mae Dunham, Betty Ann Powell, Mable Myers; and brothers, Albert Schmittou and Joseph Schmittou.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Mason; Godchildren, Gail Dwyer, Jill Dwyer, Brittany (Keith) Mulloy, Dayna Stanley and William Mulloy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday January 3, 2019 from 5-7 at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 4, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8151 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, Tennessee 38138.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1663 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee 38106. Gifts in memory of Mrs. Kline may be offered to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Saint Thomas Health Foundation (stthomas. ejoinme.org) or by mail, 4220 Harding Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37205.
