Obituary for Doris Ann Hilpmann Doris Ann Hilpmann, 87, of Gering, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, March 07, 2018 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff with her family at her side. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2018 at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.

dugankramer.com Doris was born on May 24, 1930 to Edwin Darra and Goldie Lee (Guest) Henderson in Cody, Wyoming. She received her early education in Cody, and after a short move to Newcastle, WY, returned to Cody, WY and received her high school diploma. She continued onto college in Powell, WY and received her degree in teaching.

Doris married Heinz G. Hilpmann on December 27, 1950 in Cody, WY and from this union they had one daughter: Jennifer Hilpmann. Doris and Heinz made Gering their home in March of 1981. Doris enjoyed doing the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper and cooking.

Doris worked as a Legal Secretary for George Sawyer in Torrington, WY for 17 years and at the Farmer’s Home Administration in Torrington, WY for several years. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Torrington, WY. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Heinz G. Hilpmann of Gering, daughter Jennifer Ann Hilpmann of Gering, sister Leona Grace Welch of Opelika, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews.
