Doris M. Davis, 80 of Westford, MA passed away on Sunday October 14, 2018 in Chelmsford, MA. Doris was born on September 10, 1938 in Lawrence, MA to Chanel and Rose (Berube) Mailloux. She attended Sacred Heart School and McIntosh Business School in Lawrence, MA and had an active career for many years as a secretary and executive assistant with Andrew-Wilson Co. in Lawrence, MA, Zurbach Steel in Salem, NH, Digital Equipment Corporation at various sites in NH and MA and HearEx in West Palm Beach, FL.

Doris was married to Richard Davis in 1961 and they were together until his passing in December of 2000. Her family members include her children Glenn and his wife Rebecca Davis of Avon, CO along with their children Nicholas and Christopher; Warren and his wife Kimberly Davis of Westford, MA along with their children Richard and Elaine and Kimberly and her husband Shawn Doyle of Manchester, NH along with their children Cody and Camryn. Among the many things that Doris enjoyed, her greatest joys were found in the laughter and companionship of many beloved family members and long-time friends.

She will be remembered for the spirit with which she met life, relished hearing news of her friends and their families and always wished the very best for all she knew. The family would like to convey their deep gratitude to Marjoriene Kaweesa, Anne Ndungu and to the nursing and aid staff at Brookdale North Chelmsford and Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday October 19, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at the Goundrey & Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Salem, NH.

A brief remembrance service will follow the visitation at 4pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable contribution to MSPCA at Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 (www. mspca.org/adoption centers/nevins-farm-adoption-center/).
