Doris Jean Oller January 07, 1936 – November 30, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Doris Jean Oller, 82 of Taylorville, passed away at 8:12pm on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Life’s Journey Senior Living in Taylorville. She was born on January 7, 1936 in Morrisonville, the daughter of William Klingler and Ruby Ilene (Schmedeke) Friedrich. She married Roy Dale Oller on May 8, 1955 in the First Baptist Church in Taylorville.

He preceded her in death on August 5, 2014. Doris worked as a secretary at the Christian County TB Office and was a member of the Taylorville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, sewing, baking, bowled for over 40 years, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters: Karen Fishel (Warren Kelly) and Susan Hayes (David) both of Taylorville; son: David Oller (Jamie) of Kincaid; grandchildren: Heather Overstreet (Nick), Lindsay Barlow (Leroy), Christina Scheina (Patrick), Megan (Nick Elder) Oller, and Hailey Oller; great-grandchildren: Amelia Overstreet, Ruby Jean Barlow, and Colton Scheina; sister: Judy Bragg (Don) of Taylorville; and sister-in-law: Delores Friedrich. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Robert Friedrich and Larry Friedrich. A memorial service for Doris will be held at 6:30pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev.

Becky Lembke officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:30 until 6:30 Thursday in the funeral home. Inurnment for both Doris and Roy will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
