Martha Jane Haerr July 03, 1929 – September 28, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Martha Jane Haerr, 89 of Taylorville, died at 5:39 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2018 at Taylorville Care Center. Martha was born on July 3, 1929, in Noble, Illinois, the daughter of William an Ethel (Atkins) Lagle. She graduated from Noble High School and went on to marry Harold Eugene Haerr on February 25, 1950 in Streator.

Just shy of their 65th wedding anniversary, Harold passed away on February 12, 2015. Martha enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, tatting, embroidery, and anything to do with thread. She will be dearly missed.

Martha is survived by her two children: Otis (Marlis) Haerr of Taylorville, and Sylvia Geiling of Needville, Texas; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law: Mary Haerr of Olney. Along with her husband Harold, Martha was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
