T. Robert “Bob” Miller, 74, of Morrisonville, IL, passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Bob was born February 4, 1945 in Morrisonville, IL, the son of Theodore R. “Ted” and Roberta (Spillman) Miller. He married Janet Kay Deal on July 30, 1967 at the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisonville.

She preceded him in death November 7, 2000. Bob then married Heather Benning on May 27, 2003 at the Chapel of the Dove in Branson, MO. Bob graduated from Morrisonville High School in 1963, and then proudly served our country in the United States Army.

He was stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, then Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam, and then Fort Riley, KS. Upon being honorably discharged, Bob attended and graduated from the United Electronics Laboratory in Louisville, KY, where he learned electricity and radio repair. He worked for many years as a self-employed electrical contractor, and spent his entire life helping with the family farm.

Bob was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisonville, where he taught Sunday School, and served as a trustee for 4 terms. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #721 in Morrisonville where he was past commander twice. Bob was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #681 of Morrisonville, Christian County Pork Producers, and an advisory board member of the Production Credit Association, as well as a three consecutive term member of the Christian County Board, from 1980-1992.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, macramé, hunting, and target shooting. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Bob is survived by his wife, Heather Miller of Morrisonville, IL; daughter, Missy (Dave) Haley of Carlinville, IL; son, Rob (Brandy) Miller of Auburn, IL; grandchildren, Danny (Emily) Ondrey, Zach (Ellie Halpin) Ondrey, Emmy (Cary Whitlock) Ondrey, Austin and Heath Miller, Stephanie (Jake) Ritter, Jennifer Haley, and Dani (Clay) Hoff; great grandchildren, Hayley, Max, Garen, Nora, Harrison, and Knox; siblings, Judy (Ken) Streit of Morrisonville, IL, Lynda (Bill) Walter of Carlinville, IL, and Chris Miller of Morrisonville, IL; aunt, Normalee (Roy) Jackson of Mt.

Pulaski, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation & Funeral Ceremony: The family will receive guests from 2:00 p.m. until the time of ceremony at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church, 111 North St., Morrisonville, IL 62546, with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating.

The funeral ceremony will begin with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #721 and the Department of Defense. Cremation will be provided following ceremonies. Private family inurnment will be provided at a later date at Morrisonville Cemetery.

Donations of food may be brought to the First Presbyterian Church of Morrisonville on Friday.
