Auburn, passed away at 6:09a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 in her home. She was born on October 26, 1958 in Decatur, the daughter of Jerome and Ada (Reed) Gipson.

She married William H. Bauman II on July 23, 1983 in Niantic. Cheryl worked for many years for the Taylorville School District at the Mt. Auburn School and the schools in Taylorville.

She loved spending time outdoors, especially while camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting and also enjoyed painting. Above all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband: William Bauman II of Mt.

Auburn; children: Heather Brown of Niantic, Jerry Brown of Decatur, and Zach Bauman, fiancée Tonya Welch, of Taylorville; 12 grandchildren; step-son: Brian Parga of Springfield; siblings: Paula Gipson, Donna Gipson, Joyce Deters, John Blanchard, Donnie Blanchard, Denny Gipson and Roy Blanchard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and niece: Michelle Gipson. A memorial service for Cheryl will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Rev.

Dan Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11a.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, St. Louis.

McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
