OBITUARY Doris Jerrell Jackson November 30, 1927 – November 8, 2018 Doris Jerrell Jackson, age 90, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Nov. 8, 2018. She was born on November 30, 1927 in Birmingham AL.

to Thomas S. Jerrell and Harriet Mae Jerrell. She graduated from Ensley High School. Doris worked in the family business S.T. Jerrell Company.

In May of 1962, She married the love of her life, Howard P. Jackson Jr. Doris attended Mountain Brook Baptist Church. She was a member of the Regents Dance Club, several bridge clubs and garden club. Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Howard P. Jackson Jr. and her parents.

She is survived by her sons, Ed Jackson (Phyllis) , Jerry Jackson (Carolyn) and Roy Jackson (Lesa) of Birmingham, AL; sister- in- law, Jan Gorman (Milton) of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday Nov. 12, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel.

Funeral service will follow at 2:00. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mountain Brook Baptist Church.
