Doris June Bergfield June 22, 1926 – May 12, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Doris June Bergfield, 92, of Anabel, MO, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Clarence Care Center in Clarence, MO. Doris was born on June 22, 1926, east of Macon, MO, the daughter of Orville Lister and Elnora Marie (Mears) Flowers. She graduated from Macon High School in 1943.

Doris was united in marriage to John William “Bill” Bergfield on June 12, 1945, at the Lutheran Church in Macon. She was a lifelong active member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church southeast of Macon, the Prairie Dale Club, and the Smokey Good Sams Camping Club. Doris enjoyed fishing, quilting, embroidering, playing cards and games, and spending her mornings with her neighborhood coffee club.

Doris is survived by her four children, Richard Bergfield and his wife Charlene of Macon, David Bergfield and his wife Velma of Anabel, Carol Still of Anabel, and Alan Bergfield and his wife Rebecca of Harrisburg, MO; eight grandchildren, Matthew Bergfield, Andrea Smalley, Jonathan Bergfield, Jamie Bergfield, Devin Still, Eric Still, Elizabeth Bergfield, and Marie Bergfield; sixteen great-grandchildren, Caleb, Isaac, William, Breah, Logan, Kenny, Dominic, Meagan, Hunter, Harlee, Maverick, Taylor, Tanner, Bentlee, Rylee, and Josh; one great-great grandson, Alan Dean; and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband “Bill” on May 6, 2017, one brother, Marion Flowers, and her son-in-law, Bob Still. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday afternoon, May 17, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Rev.

Larry DeSpain officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery southeast of Macon. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday evening and again from 1-2 pm, Friday afternoon, at the funeral home.

The family suggest memorials to the Bethlehem Cemetery.
