Doris L. Bowden, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Longmeadow. Doris was born in Morgantown, West Virginia March 31, 1938 to the late Denzil and Thelma (Stewart) Austin. Doris spent the past 35 years in Ravenna where she worked as an In-Home Child Care Provider and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Doris is survived by her children Jenny (Tim) Matyaszek of Maple Heights, Vera Pickering of Cleveland, and Joseph A. (Kim) Pickering of Cleveland, her siblings Maxine (Francie) Flick of Streetsboro, Sonny Austin and Lois M. Mullins of Ravenna, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger, daughter Carol Ann Evanko, and siblings Margrete L. Howell, Bill Austin , Charles Austin and Demon G. Austin. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, May 24, 2019 at maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna with Donald Flick officiating.
