Doris M. Monroe, 97, North Manchester, IN passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 1:28 p.m. in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN. She was born April 3, 1921 in Muskegon, MI to Sylvester & Irene (Mattox) Sunday. On December 23, 1941 she married Burr Monroe.

He passed away in 1976. Doris was a homemaker and a cook at Chester School, North Manchester, IN. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church, Bippus, IN.

She is survived by sons, Gary (Marsha) Monroe, North Manchester, IN and David (Bev) Monroe, Killgore, TX; sister Jean Pehr, Ludington, MI; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. One son and two grandchildren are deceased. Family and friends may call Monday, April 23, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN.

Services will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Pastor Larry Holderbaum will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN.
