Doris Stachowski, age 88, of Foley, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Foley Nursing Center. Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Doris will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Brennyville. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM at the church Tuesday.

A Christian Mothers Rosary will be prayed at 9 AM. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clares or Crosier Apostolate.

Doris Bell (Urbanski) Stachowski was born April 29, 1929 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Stanley and Leona (Pokornowski) Urbanski. Doris married Henry Stachowski on September 4, 1946. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Brennyville and an active member of the Christian Mothers.

She sang in a group called the Jolly G’s. Doris loved to paint, play cards, quilt, and spend time with family and friends. Doris’ family wishes to express a special Thank You to the Christian Mothers.

Doris is survived by her sons, Tom (Bonnie) of St. Cloud and Charlie (Shirley) of Foley; 5 granddaughters: Risa (Curt) Lieser, Sarah (Craig) Sherwood, Molly Stachowski (Russell Bjork), Alicia Stachowski, and Trisha (Phil) Roeder; 6 great-grandchildren: Thomas, Terra, Bethany, Henry, Nathan, and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, brother Leo, sister Deloris, and granddaughter Heather. Doris’ wish for life was to love people and for people to love her.
