Obituary for Dorothy Ann Hill Dorothy Ann Hill, 66, formerly of Greene Co., NC was called to Heaven to be with her heavenly father on November 2, 2018. She passed away in Honolulu, HI where she was residing with her daughter and son-in-law, who is currently stationed there on active duty with the US Navy. Dorothy was born on July 4, 1952 to Wilbur and Evelyn Hill.

Dorothy worked for East Carolina University, School of Medicine and retired after 20 years of service. She loved traveling and spending time at the beach but her fondest memories were of those times she spent with family and friends, especially if she was cooking for them. She was loved by all who knew her and “Mama” or “grandma Ann” will live forever in the hearts of the people who loved and cherished her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; a son, Thomas C. Barfield Jr.; a grandson, Hunter Barfield and a sister-in-law, Kathy Wiggins Hill. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Hill; a daughter, Melissa Sanchez and husband, Andres; two sons, Michael Barfield and wife, Tina and Corey Barfield. She also leaves behind, two brothers, Marion and Allen Hill, three precious grandchildren, Brandon Barfield, Dylan Blake Barfield and Taylor Barfield, great granddaughter, Arianna Coleman and her special fur babies, Max, Marty and Shuggie.
