Sneads Ferry, NC: Dorothy Coats Peterson, age 77, of Maplecrest Drive, formally of Dunn died Sunday, May 12, 2019 at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Graveside Service will be 11:00AM Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Roselawn Cemetery in Benson. Officiating will be her granddaughter, Nikki Hyatt.

Mrs. Peterson was born January 22, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Rufus and Lillian Garris Coats. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Peterson and a granddaughter, Brooke Honold. Mrs. Peterson was a retired bank teller for BB&T in Coats.

Surviving include her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Annette Campbell of Sneads Ferry; grandchild, Nikki Hyatt and husband, Buddy of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Addison Honold and Kenzie Tart; brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends following the service at Roselawn Cemetery.
