Obituary for Dorothy Cronin Cartwright Cartwright, Dorothy Louise Kessler Cronin, 93, passed away January 6, at her home in West Point, Virginia. Dotty was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, James Robert Cronin; her son, Kirk Robert Cronin; and her husband of 18 years, Richardson Bright Cartwright. She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Cronin Andrews (Joseph); her grandson, Robert M. Dow (Aaren); her great-grandchildren, Juliana and Connor Dow.

She had a loving extended family with her stepsons, Rick Cartwright (Louanne); Larry Cartwright (Donna), their three children, Erin, Daniel and Amy. Dotty made friends easily with her cheerful and kind ways, but in particular were her caregivers, Doris Morris and Lynne Little, whom she loved like daughters. Dotty grew up in Ocean View where she began her lifelong love of dancing, travelling, being on the beach, and being in or on the water.

She enjoyed entertaining her friends and spending time with her family. True to form, Dotty doesn’t want the fuss of a service or reception, so please make a donation in her memory to your favorite charity. We sure will miss her.
