Dorothy Bertino, fondly known as “Dolly”, 84, of Jamaica, New York, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2018 at North Shore Medical Center in Manhaset, New York after a short illness with her loving family by her side. Dolly was born Dorothy Stabile in Brooklyn, New York on July 11, 1934. She married the love of her life, Ignazio “Enzio” Bertino on June 28, 1959 and shortly after settled in Jamaica, New York to begin their lives together.

Dolly retired after many years of dedicated service from Bankers Trust Company where she was Vice President of Human Res. Dolly was a beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Diego and Frances (Klein) Stabile, her loving brothers and sisters, Mary Roppola, Abraham Stabile, Mary Scardino, Anna DelGrosso, Florence Kless, Josephine Diamond, and Jennie Bertino and her niece, Judy Graffam.

Dolly is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Ignazio “Enzio” Bertino, her loving sister and friend, Carmela “Micky” Stabile, her cherished nieces and nephews, Anna Kless, Frances Ciotti, Patricia DelGrosso, Donald DelGrosso, John DelGrosso, Paul Bertino, and Carl Bertino, along with her 13 adored great nieces and nephews and 12 great-great nieces and nephews. Dolly will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Inc. of Hazlet, New Jersey. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday September 20, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday September 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning September 22, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Leahy-McDonald Funeral Home, 111-02 Atlantic Avenue, Richmond Hill, New York 11419. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning September 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Roman Catholic Church, 150-75 Goethals Avenue, Jamaica, New York 11432.
