Dorothy “Dot” Geddes, 82, of Spartanburg and formerly of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Magnolia Manor-Spartanburg. Born January 22, 1937, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Howard Elmore Sherbert and Bertha Frances Cook Sherbert. She was married for 42 years to the late Bobby Lee Geddes.

Mrs. Geddes was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church and retired from Drayton Mills after 20 years of service. Surviving are her daughter, Dianne Wilkes (Randy) of Inman, SC; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Stenger of Atlanta, GA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her children, Bobbie Kay Johnson, Lisa Foster, Melinda Briggs, and Keith Geddes; grandson, Keith Geddes Jr.; great-grandson, Scottie Geddes; sisters, Marjorie Brown, Edith Brock, and Margarite Hayes; and brother, Wilford Sherbert.

A service honoring her life will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Joe Geddes. The family is at their respective homes.
