Dorothy “Dot” Mills September 29, 1928 – March 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Marshville Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Mills 90, passed away on Saturday the 23rd of March, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Monroe. She was born in Anson County on September the 29th, 1928 to the late James and Mae Lowery Jones. She retired from Alltel after over 20 years of service as a telephone operator.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Ralph M. Mills and her son Mr. Jimmy M. Mills. Memorial Services will be 3pm Tuesday the 26th of March, 2019 at Gilboa United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends following the service.

Interment will be private. Dot is survived by her two children: Mr. Wayne Mills, and Mrs. Judy M. Marsh and her husband Pinky all of Marshville. Her grandson Mr. Jimmy Marsh and his wife Amanda of Marshville.

Two sisters: Mrs. Jean Poplin of Marshville and Mrs. Joyce Hanna and her Charles of Wadesboro. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
