VOLLMER, DOROTHY “Dottie”, (nee MORSE), 85, of Pompton Plains formerly of Upper Saddle River died peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Russell (2005). Loving mother of Paul R. Casson, Janet Smith, Wendy Ryffel and the late Brad (2000).

Cherished grandmother of Paul Jr., Heather, Dawn, Kelly, Lisa, Kristin, Kevin and great grandmother of Victoria, Briana, Abigal, and Nicholas. Before retiring Dottie worked as a Comptometer Operator at NJ Bell, Texwipe and was a Dance Instructor. She was an active member of the Cedar Crest Protestant Community and a former member of the Hawley Methodist Church, Hawley, PA and Lakeville United Methodist Church, Lakeville, PA.

Dottie was an avid traveler and visited all 50 States. She loved to sing and was a member of the Cedar Crest Choir. Her warm caring smile and upbeat personality will be missed by all.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1st at 1:00 PM at Redeemer Cemetery, 90 Chapel Road in Mahwah. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 8th at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Crest Interfaith Chapel, 1 Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Dottie’s name to St. Jude Children’s.
