Dorothy A. Drewes, 92, of Malinta, Ohio died on February 19, 2019, after a brief illness, at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Holgate, Ohio. She was born on April 23, 1926, to Franklin and Katherine (Damman) Gerken. She married Waldo “Pete” Drewes on April 9, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1981.

Dorothy was a 1944 graduate of Florida High School and was the class valedictorian. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for over 25 years.
