Dorothy E. Kantner, 98, of Wapakoneta passed away at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Auglaize Acres. Dorothy was born October 16, 1920 in St. Johns, OH to Nelson S. & Anna B. (Krites) Henderson who preceded her in death. On April 6, 1939 she married Grant V. Kantner and he passed on January 3, 2004.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Kathryn Norman of Wapakoneta, Carol Copeland of Fryburg; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Diana Kantner. She was preceded in death by two sons; Gary Kantner, Fred Kantner; a daughter Betty Evans; a daughter-in-law Sandra Kantner, three grandchildren; 1 brother Robert Henderson and 4 sisters Lois Kantner, Ethel Hern, Edith Preston and Doris Henderson. Dorothy was the foundation of the Kantner Family where she helped her husband Grant manage and run their apple orchard.

She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. She will be greatly missed by all her family. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta with Pastor Dave Stanford officiating.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Moulton. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or to the donor’s choice.
