Obituary for Dorothy Florence Greenly Dorothy Florence Greenly, 88, of Aberdeen, MD, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2019. Dorothy was a loving wife to her late husband, Kenneth Greenly. Together they shared many happy years.

Born December 30, 1931 in Delta, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ralph B. Jones and Carrie (Tarbert) Jones. Dorothy grew up in Delta, PA and later resided in several locations over the span of her lifetime, including El Cajon, CA, Berwick, PA, Falling Waters, WV; finally settling in Aberdeen, MD. Dorothy had a wonderful heart which she shared with her family and friends unconditionally.

There was very little she wouldn’t do to help someone she loved. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, even if it made others uncomfortable, laugh out loud, or occasionally mad. An excellent storyteller, Dorothy often shared stories of her life with those she loved.

She adored her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and often spoke highly of them. Dorothy treasured the simple things in life. A great artist, Dorothy loved to draw birds specifically.

She absolutely enjoyed a great cup of coffee and usually had a sweet tooth for lemon meringue pie, but didn’t say no to other snacks like sour cream and onion baked chips. One of her favorite meals was a well-made hamburger with fries, and an old-fashioned milk shake. Dorothy is survived by Her children: Marvin Daniel Knopp, Edward Leroy Lee Brenda Long Deborah Lee Costa Her siblings; Marguerite McMillian Olive Ledford Marvin R. Jones Howard D. Jones Harriet Olivero Edward Jones Her step children, Chester and Patty Gordner, Kathy Cashman, and Linda LeKites.
