OBITUARY Dorothy Florence Orcutt March 12, 1925 – November 10, 2018 WELLFLEET – Dorothy Florence Orcutt, 93, of Wellfleet and formally of Abington, MA, passed away on November 10, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Evelyn (Ford) Mellen. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years and childhood sweetheart, James H. Orcutt.

Dorothy worked many years as the town clerk for the town of Abington and Orleans, MA. She and her husband moved to Cape Cod in 1975. She loved to knit, hook rugs and spend time with her grandchildren.

Besides her husband James H., she is predeceased by her son James W. Orcutt and daughter, Susan Freeman. Dorothy is survived by her son Steven Orcutt and daughter Dorothy Footit, both of Wellfleet, MA; her sister Carolyn Kelley of Orleans, MA; grandchildren, Danielle, James, Jennifer, Mark and Allison; 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 12p on Wednesday, November 14th in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Wellfleet.
