She was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church and worked as an office supervisor for the National Labor Board. She was preceded in death by her husband Lorenzo Wyrick.

Survivors include her daughter Susie (John) Pilnock; sister Reta Scales; grandchildren Lora (Jim) Rees, Allen (Julie) Myers; and five great grandchildren. Private graveside services were held.
