Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Barbara Humphries passed away peacefully in Brady, Texas on May 12, 2019 at the age of 94. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1924 in Warsaw, Poland to Vincentio and Martha Kubosh and is a survivor of the holocaust. She married Houston Henry Humphries on October 6, 1947 in Germany, during his service to the United States Military.

After moving to the United States, Dorothy went through all the steps and took the oath to become a naturalized U.S citizen. She took great pride in serving as a military wife for over 20 years, until her husband Houston retired from the United States Air Force. She lived in Amarillo for many years.

She lived in Abilene for seven years before moving to Brady in 2018. She was a member of the Gateway Church in Brady. A Celebration of Life Service for Dorothy Humphries will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Texas with Reverend Ruede Rule officiating.

Dorothy is survived by sons John Humphries and wife Maureen of Fulshear, Texas, Richard Humphries and wife Peggy of North Richland Hills, Texas; daughters Betty Faltesek of Amarillo, Texas and Debbie Rule and husband Ruede of Brady, Texas; sister Margaret Raab of Frankfurt, Germany; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Houston Henry Humphries, son Robert Henry Humphries and son-in-law George Edward Faltesek.
