OBITUARY Dorothy Lenora McSpadden April 29, 1927 – November 7, 2018 Dorothy Lenora McSpadden went home to glory on November 4, 2018 at the age of 91. She and her husband Garland had lived in Harker Heights since his retirement from the Army in 1976. They moved to Issaquah, WA in 2015 as their health began to fail.

She was a wonderful example of a career Army wife – supporting her husband in all his endeavors, thoroughly enjoying the travels that ensued and finding ways to help people all along the way. She was passionate about her faith, her family and providing hospitality. She and Garland were members of Central Christian Church in Killeen for many years where they both loved serving their Lord.

She loved having friends and family around, fixing meals for them and making them feel special. Lenora was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years. She and Garland had two children, Carol Taylor who lives with her husband in Washington state and William, who lives with his wife in Minnesota.

They had 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 1pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please direct any desired donation in Lenora’s honor to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
