Obituary for Dorothy Mable Tosten Dorothy Mable Tosten, 90 of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 in Green Ridge Village, Newville. She was born July 17, 1928 in Chambersburg, PA. Dorothy was a daughter of the late Abner B. and Ruth Martin Hartman.

She was a member of the Shippensburg Church of the Brethren and was involved in church activities including Doves, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, Women’s Work & Family Night Program. Dorothy worked at The Pines Health Care, the Chambersburg Hospital and the Franklin County Nursing Home. In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Russell “Junior” Tosten and one son, Rodger Tosten.

Dorothy is survived by a number of cousins. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Browns Mill Cemetery, Greencastle. Officiating will be Pastor Brian Markle.
