OBITUARY Dorothy N. Green July 14, 1935 – December 5, 2018 Dorothy Jean Nolen Green, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 14th, 1935 and she passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2018 at the age of 83. She had a long fulfilling career of 50 years, as a bank teller and retired from Regions Bank. She was a member of Palmerdale Baptist Church in Palmerdale, Alabama.

She loved the outdoors; flowers, feeding and watching the birds, watching butterflies, and her cats. She loved butterflies and collected butterfly jewelry and memorabilia, She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she dearly loved by her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Maggie Nolen, and her husband, Billy Joe Green.

Dorothy is survived by her four children, Joey Green (Crystal), Debbie Metcalf (Anthony), Cindy Gwin (Chris), and Teri Green; one brother, Hubert Underwood (Lisa); one sister, Betty Tims; six grandchildren, Tina Layne (Mike), Tony Metcalf (Nicole), Mindy Romano (Tony), Amber Nicholas (Becca), Shelley Morris, Kaylyn Green, and Jonathan Green; six great grandchildren, Alyssa, Landon, Harrison, Henley, Brooklyn, and Eli; her beloved cat called, Girl; along with several other family members and many, many friends. Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00PM; service at 2:00PM, followed by her burial in Marvin’s Chapel Cemetery, Pinson, Alabama. Services officiated by Rev.
