On October 5, 1975 Dot married her “Knight in Shining Armor”, Dominick Romano. Together, they raised Dot’s four children from a previous marriage. Dot dedicated her life to helping and caring for others.

She spent over 35 years teaching Sunday school, leading Girl Scout troops, and running an in home licensed daycare. She also owned and operated “Rainbow Kids Pre School and Daycare” for over six years. She enjoyed crocheting and she spent a majority of her time crocheting blankets, hats and scarves for those in need in and around her community.

She also made sure orphans in Haiti had clothing and shoes. Operation Christmas Child was a huge part of her Christmas giving and she always gave with a grateful and generous heart. She also looked forward to the county fairs every year where she would enter her craft projects, plants, and flowers from her gardens and volunteered her time in the children’s area.

Dot will be remembered as an amazing woman of faith with a heart and spirit of pure gold. She had spent countless hours of her life sharing her love for the Lord with others. Her heart had room for anyone and she continuously poured it out on those around her.
