OBITUARY Dorothy Taylor Wilkerson March 26, 1931 – November 12, 2018 Dorothy Taylor Wilkerson, age 87 of Lynchburg, wife of Walker Donald Wilkerson, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at her home. She was born on March 26, 1931 in Columbia, SC, daughter of the late Ray Wesley Taylor and Ruby Wingard Taylor. Dorothy was retired from General Electric and had a green thumb which she put to good use caring for her vegetable garden as well as all the flowers that she loved so much.

Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Wilkerson. In addition to her loving husband, Walker to whom she had been married for 68 years, she is survived by 2 daughters, Melissa Wilkerson, Donna W. Bryant and husband Bobby; granddaughter, Karla Rosser and husband Mike; a great granddaughter, Kayla Bradley. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Centra Hospice for all of the dedicated care that they provided.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating.
