Dorris F. Owensby, age 59 of Gary, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2018. She is survived by her husband of 39 years; Bobby Owensby; children; Bobby “BJ”(Malissa) Owensby, John R. (Cindy) Owensby, Amanda(Kian Guardiola) Owensby; “Her boys” William(Kristen), Jason(Kelli) , and Raleigh; grandchildren; Amalia, Bobby III, Sarah, John, Jane, Erik, Logan, Adam, Finnegan, Oliver, and Delaney; Siblings; Billy (Beverly) Arnold, Virgil (Susan) Arnold, Rebecca Splitgerber, Mary (Paul) White, and Janice Arnold; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Billy and Margaret Arnold Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating.

Cremation will follow. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Ave in Griffith Dorris was an avid crafter having a booth at the Griffith Boys Scout Fall Festival in Central Park for 35 years, missing only this year. She was the queen of cakes creating whatever anyone could think up!
