Obituary of Dorris Durham FINE- Dorris Irene “Renie” Durham, age 80, of Fine, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018. Renie was born on November 26, 1937 in Pierrepont, New York to the late Herbert and Doris (Hogle) Law. She attended Knox Memorial Central School and married Joe E. Durham Sr. on January 22, 1956.

She enjoyed her years as a cook for the Clifton-Fine Boarding Home and had previously owned Renie’s Bakery where she was well-known for her potato and macaroni salads. In her eyes, her greatest accomplishment was raising her five beautiful talented children with her loving husband along with adoring Yorkshire Terriers. Renie was a lover of life and cherished time with her family.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, knitting, crocheting, reading, and doll collecting. In recent years, she developed a love for social media as a way to share and keep in touch with loved ones near and far. Music played a vital role in bringing the family together.

She loved playing her guitar and passing along her gift of music to her grandchildren. Renie is survived by her husband, Joe; two sons, Joe Durham Jr. and Duwayne “Duke” and Rebecca Durham all of Fine, NY; two daughters, Rhonda and Barry Walch of Canton, NY and Vicky and Craig Towne of Canandaigua, NY. She is also survived by a brother, Phillip and Gwendolyn Law of DePeyster, NY; two sisters, Freida Snell of Hermon, NY and Iris and Henry Waugh of Talcville, NY; a sister-in-law, Thea Law of Pitcairn and 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Renie is predeceased by her daughter, Renee Durham who passed away on April 17, 1999; a brother, Lyle Law and two sisters, her twin, Iva “Ilene” Jessmer and Bonnie Lewis. As per Renie’s wishes, there will be no calling hours, but a celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Edwards, New York.
