Douglas Brian Thompson, age 65 of Cannon Falls, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury. Doug was born on February 20, 1954 in Cannon Falls, the only child of S. Donald and E. Arlene (Waslie) Thompson. He graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1972, attended Dakota County Vocational School, and worked at various jobs throughout his life.

Doug loved working on cars, riding his motorcycle, and had a love of animals. He always had a story to tell and had an unusual sense of humor. He will be remembered for his kind heart and taking care of others before himself.

He will be missed by his loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Arlene; and an infant brother. A memorial gathering for Doug will be held on Thursday, May 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls.
