Obituary of Douglas “Dougie” N. Smith, Jr. Douglas “Dougie” N. Smith, Jr., 45, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. Born in Pottstown, PA, on August 12, 1973, Doug was the son of Janet (Henry) Janderchick, companion of Charles; and the late Gene Janderchick. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Bridget Rakowski, wife of Nick, Phoenixville, PA; Becky McGee, Pottstown, PA; Jason Smith, husband of Carrie, Boyertown, PA; Jenny McCalpine, wife of Ron, Pottstown, PA; and his stepsister, Becky Soto, Boyertown, PA.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
