Doug Distl, 64 of Sebastian, died on Friday, February 22, 2019 with family by his side. He was born to the late William and Gloria Distle on November 26, 1954 in Mansfield, Ohio. He married Shelly Horvath in 1987.

Doug was a Community Association Manager in Vero Beach working for Elliott Merrill Community Management Companies for nearly 20 years. In 2006 he began working at Carlton where he met friends and residents with contractors alike. He enjoyed volunteering to serve the children at Hibiscus Children’s Center .

Doug cherished his time with family and friends golfing, boating on the river and cruising. Doug is survived by his wife Shelly, a brother, Jeff of St. Loius and many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. A Private Service will be held at a later date.

In lie of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Halo or Hibiscus Children’s Center.
